2nd quality at 1st quality pricing. Disappointing.
I purchased Steccato accent plates and salad plates to compliment my Blue Italian. About half the plates were fired with off-center stripes, so the pattern does not tech the plate’s edge on one side but overlaps the edge on the other side. It looks quite odd and would have been considered as 2nd quality with the Spode of days gone by. I contacted Customer Service about this, with photos, and the response was that this is normal for this particular pattern. If they can’t execute this pattern well, they shouldn’t offer it… or they should offer Walmart pricing for Walmart quality dishes.
