Job Description: We are looking for a customer-oriented account manager. The customer account manager will act as a liaison, provide product/services information, and resolve any emerging problems that our customer accounts might face with accuracy and efficiency. The best customer account managers are genuinely excited to help customers. They are patient, empathetic, and passionately communicative. They can put themselves in their customers’ shoes and advocate for them when necessary. Problem-solving comes naturally to customer care specialists. They are confident at troubleshooting and investigate if they do not have enough information to resolve customer complaints. The target is to ensure excellent service standards, respond efficiently to customer inquiries and maintain high customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities: Responsibilities include account management, analyzing, communicating, collaborating, and executing the implementation of customer compliance requirements for all new and existing customers. The role will work cross-departmentally to ensure compliance and customer satisfaction.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Set up and maintenance of customer files
- Order entry- review of order for promos, pricing, min buy requirements
- Order Confirmations and notification to customers of potential backorders or delays
- Credits /rebills
- RTV’s
- Research vendor short pays and chargeback’s/deductions
- Account price file maintenance
- Inventory feeds
- EDI
- Forecasts
- Vendor portals
- Phones
- Consumers emails, inquires and order entry
- Returns
- Sample orders
Skills: The Customer Account Manager must be well organized and detail oriented with an ability to multitask. They must have strong communication and follow-up skills, the ability to navigate online portals, a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, and analytical capabilities.
Experience: 2+ years’ experience in customer service or related field Associates Degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Job Description: Portmeirion Group USA Inc., distributor of dinnerware and ceramics, is looking for a detail-oriented individual to join our buying and planning team with seasonal demand experience preferred. This is a fast-paced environment where we forecast, order and manage product inventory levels for products made at our own and at out-sourced factories. The ideal candidate is hard-working, analytically-minded, an extreme multi-tasker with strong attention to detail and excellent follow-through.
Responsibilities: Responsible for analyzing sales trends, working closely with seasonal transitions and exclusive/limited releases to better understand supply and demand appropriate to inventory across our entire network.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Responsible for submitting and reviewing all orders for assigned suppliers
- Ability to modify and edit orders quickly as sales projections change.
- Build and develop strong relationships with assigned suppliers to ensure appropriate supply of product within specified time windows.
- Analyze inventory reports to proactively manage and limit the carrying cost of inventory, code issues and out of stock situations.
- Identify overstocked items and address as needed to support the sale team in their efforts.
- Work closely with Operations Managers, Customer Service Managers and Sales Managers across the US and at the overseas parent company to ensure optimal inventory levels for sales execution.
- Work closely with the Corporate Sourcing Team and domestic product managers on assigned projects.
- Assist on special projects as needed.
Essential Job Requirements:
- Microsoft Excel- at minimum, moderate level user (pivot tables, v-look up)
- Seasonal buying/planning experience.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to think independently and take action with limited oversight.
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze feedback and troubleshoot deficiencies to rectify issues within a short timelines.
- Excellent ability to manage competing demands.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven computer skills including spreadsheet design, word processing, Microsoft Outlook and inventory ERP systems.
- Distribution and import experience preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
