Cereal, Soup, or Serving -- These Bowls Do It All!
I purchased these to go along with the Delamere dinnerware set before I noticed that soup plates are available. Oh well, I thought. Live and learn. Turns out these are perfect! True, genuine connoisseurs of dinnerware will recognize them as "cereal bowls," but it turns out that everyone else actually LIKES a deeper bowl for soup. Maybe I'll spring for the soup plates in the future, but these seem to be a hit with my family and guests.
They also work perfectly for dishes that would be dwarfed by a larger serving bowl. For example, I often serve egg salad or eggplant salad along with the bread at the beginning of a meal. Too much for dip or condiment bowls and too little for vegetable bowls, but perfect in these cereal bowls.
