Not the same as the original
Corn on the Cob is HOT when you take it out of the water. You need a stout corn holder. This Corn Dish used to be the perfect solution, but now it's not. Used to weigh 320 g but now its 290 g. This thinner china version doesn't work for HOT corn. I wrote Portmeirion about this bad design change and they have yet to respond :(

a new use for "corn" dishes
These "corn" dishes are fantastic. I use them when I am having friends over and I place crackers in them. Everyone raves about them. I like these dishes so much better than putting crackers in a basket. I think this is a more sanitary way to serve crackers.
