Nachtmann Sculpture Long Drink Set of 4

What happens when curiosity and creativity meet tradition and craftsmanship? Nachtmann’s heritage as a Bavarian glassmaker stretches back over two centuries. Respectful of the past, of course, but eager to shape the future. The Nachtmann NextGen Project works with leading art colleges around the world to find young design talent. The results have been a fusing of cutting edge ideas with traditional craft skills—creating the next generation of modern classics in glass.
The Sculpture series was developed in 2012 as part of the Nachtmann NextGen Competition. Design student Ahmet Uslu—a successful and emerging designer, succeeded in the competition and created a new line for Nachtmann—Sculpture.
Sculpture features the complex geometry of the unfinished part of a fine crystal piece, exploring light, reflections and refractions. Together with the perfection of the finished part and its brilliant light refraction, this collection makes a modern and extraordinary design statement.
The Long Drink is ideal for mixed cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages. The tall shape maintains effervescence, and its generous size provides space for both liquid and ice. Minor bubbles, flaw lines or size/shape variation are considered acceptable due to the nature of product material/manufacturing process.
